The term brain injury

Brain injury is the term used to cover both traumatic brain injury (eg: as a result of an accident, fall or violence) and nontraumatic brain injury (eg: illness such as strokes, brain tumours, infection, but not degenrative disorders) and means a brain injury that has occured due to events after birth. Levels of severity vary and no two people will have the same outcome as a result of an acquired brain injury. The Brain Injury Forum (BIF) is here to help, support and inform and offer help when you need it.
