Red Nose Day with a theme for the military veterans

RED NOSES ALL ROUND

2015 Red Nose Day was celebrated at Kent & Canterbury Hospital to raise awareness  of the increased brain injury and dementia risk in our veterans. The Defence Minister,  Julian Brazier MP congratulated Dr Mo Sakel for winning the PhD grant to for the  neuromodulation research and discussed the mechanism and its far reaching  implications. Diverse organisations including the Headway, Sir William Beveridge  Foundation, Kent Brain Injury Forum (KBIF), Neurorehab team of EKHUFT, exservicemen  supported the initiative. KBIF Chairman Tanesh Bhugobaun mentioned  that this aligns with KBIF’s objective of supporting the WINS Nanotechnology  project proposal for brain injury and dementia care. He thanked several Steering Committee member of KBIF for attending the programme & swift dissemination of the programme by Lisa, KBIF.
